Caring for Aging Parents Without Burning Out
You love them, and you're drowning. Caregiving is sacred work — and it's allowed to be too much.

Caring for an aging parent can be the most meaningful and most depleting thing you ever do. You're managing appointments, medications, emotions, and the slow reversal of who's parenting whom. And somewhere in it, your own life gets smaller and smaller.
Caregiver burnout is real, and it doesn't mean you don't love them. It means you're a human carrying more than one human can carry alone. The guilt of needing help is often the thing that keeps people isolated — but help is not abandonment.
Ask siblings to share the load, bring in outside support, and let yourself be cared for too. You can't sustain what you don't protect. Your parent needs you well, not just present.
